Will it fit through my door or side gate?
The plunge arrives crated. Once unboxed it rolls on locking castors. Send a photo of your doorway or gate with a tape measure by email and we confirm the route before you order, so there are no surprises on the day.
What power does it need?
A standard UK 13A socket. The integrated chiller is a 0.75 kW unit, so no electrician, no dedicated circuit. Outdoors, use a weatherproof socket, ideally within 3 metres.
How much does it cost to run?
About £1 a day. The 0.75 kW chiller runs roughly a quarter of the time once the water is cold, about 4 to 5 kWh a day at the current UK price cap. Keep the insulated cover on and it is less.
How cold does it get, and how fast?
Set anything from 3 to 40°C. From tap temperature the water drops 4 to 5°C an hour, so a first fill is at 3°C by the next morning. After that it holds your setting, summer included.
When will mine arrive?
Every Nordrime is made to order and personalised for you, so it is not sitting in a warehouse. Allow around eight weeks in the workshop, then one week to your door. Maria confirms your slot when you order, not after. Need it sooner? Add Priority build in your cart and your plunge goes to the front of the queue, delivered within four weeks or the fee is refunded.
How do I set it up and drain it?
Freestanding, no plumbing. Fill with a garden hose, plug in, set your temperature. To drain, open the twist-lock drain valve and let it run to a gully or lawn. About 20 minutes.
How do I keep the water clean?
A built-in circulation pump and filter run continuously, with ozone on the Slate and as an option on others. Rinse or replace the filter cartridge monthly; most owners change the water every 4 to 8 weeks.
What if something goes wrong?
Message Maria. Most issues are solved remotely the same day. If a part is needed, it is covered under Nordrime Care for two years, parts and labour, and an engineer comes to you.
